Mt. Pleasant Acres Farms is 111 acres of row crops, fruits, vegetables, forests, and wetlands. Our farm is a showcase of forestry management, organic food production, and Black history, as it was a stop along the Underground Railroad. Our food forest is providing a habitat for insect pollinators, songbirds, and game birds.

We are also proud to be facilitating the restoration of relationships between Black people and land. We see this as an essential step towards real Climate Justice.

We love unique and exciting partnerships.

Paulette Greene and Donna Dear started their journey together in Bronx, New York with a surprising and welcome friendship. A 20 year global adventure ensued. During those travels they kept their sights set on stewarding farmlands in the town of Preston, where Aunt Paulette spent her summers. And for almost 25 years they have been restoring, cultivating, and communing within the beautiful ecological systems of Caroline County, MD.
